If not-for-profit, then for what?

Prospective donors actually like being cultivated — as long as your ask is respectful, intentional, and moves them emotionally. Your appeal has to attract them, draw them in, and capture their interest. It really has to appeal. Fundraising tends to often raise fears: goals to set, lists to build, decisions to make, and details to manage. Yet effective fundraising campaigns pay for themselves many times over. And the beauty is that anything your organization does to raise funds can make a difference.
