Providence High School

A new brand identity that boldly honors the Sisters of Providence legacy.

Can an institution brand itself on both tradition and innovation? Sure it can. The dynamic brand system we developed for Providence High School takes ideas that are seemingly contradictory—ideas that are central to the Providence identity—and juxtaposes them next to one another.

The branding initiative successfully culminated in a re-envisioned campus experience, an entirely-new website, a new suite of marketing and fundraising collaterals designed to support departmental needs, as well as an emboldened athletic program to boost pride, belonging, and to guarantee the legacy of Pioneers.

Providence High School is a place of tradition. Part of the legacy of the Sisters of Providence is an obligation to look forward. The interplay of the directions and the colors testifies that these ideas are not contradictory, but are in fact complementary. And it’s in that space of tension and balance that the brand identity of Providence lives.

Focus Programs were reimagined as integral parts of the new Providence High School brand system. Their new look naturally complement the new logo and work together to boost participation and pride in Medical, Cinema Art, and Tech education.

“I think one of the most unique and important word pairings in the new Providence High School brand is Faith and Curiosity. Providence is a place where you can grow in your faith. And you can ask question and be unafraid to be curious.”

—Scott McLarty, Head of School at Providence High School
