Silicon Valley International School
We rebranded a school to erase the lasting confusion around its original name, to promote the singularity of its language immersion programs, and to anchor its new name in the region it proudly serves.
The former name International School of the Peninsula — too often reduced down to an acronym — created confusion. The school deserved to be known for much more than being an acronym. It needed a new name and a new brand that clearly positioned how bilingualism cultivates international leadership.
The school has what no other bilingual school has. It does what no other IB school does. And neither is by accident. Silicon Valley International strengthens its three bilingual
programs — French-American, Chinese-American, and German-American — through the internationally-renowned IB framework.
Ever since the College first started educating creative individuals 140 years ago, CIA has always dreamed big. The new visual language launched a comprehensive campaign to transform our future—on purpose.
The new brand identity colors helped redesign the school’s mascot. Dragons are green. And now Dragons are ready to play!
A suite of recruitment and enrollment materials was develop to cultivate and onboard families in the various bilingual programs from preschool through 8th grade. Special attention was paid to highlighting the traits that all IB learners share as they graduate from the rigorous programs at Silicon Valley International.
We named and designed a new publication that promotes bilingual programs and brings together the school’s international community. The benefits of the IB framework are showcased creatively through the French, Chinese, and German bilingual programs at Silicon Valley International.
