Santa Barbara Museum of Art

As a place for inspiring personal connection, the museum invites students of all ages and abilities to feel welcome and confident expressing themselves in a safe, open, and creative environment.

We designed a publication highlighting how arts education is offered through a variety of programs with a clear set of ideals: giving diverse people access to the Museum’s collections and resources, igniting imagination through careful instruction, and building community connections through empathetic growth and cultural exchange.

In a time when social emotional learning is key to people well-being, evidence shows that art making, and visiting art museums, can benefit mental health; supporting emotional resilience, helping us to understand who we are, and how we connect to one another.
